Why We Built This Site
Missouri’s circuit courts keep the official case record, while the public usually starts with Case.net. In Bates County, the Circuit Clerk is the custodian for Circuit, Associate Circuit, civil, criminal, domestic, probate, traffic, and municipal-division records. A courthouse terminal and clerk request may still be needed when a public file is not remotely available. The separate county-government clerk is not the keeper of those court dockets.
The aim is practical routing. A case number can lead to a Case.net header and docket entries; a current setting may require the clerk’s confirmation; and a certified document must come from the office holding the file. Municipal matters also vary: Butler has a city counter, while Adrian and Rich Hill cases commonly route through the Bates courthouse system.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: search and reading details for criminal court dockets and civil court dockets
- Settings: ways to read the court schedule and check a hearing date
- Public lookup: how a docket search works by party name or case number
- Official copies: routes for court case records and certification by the Bates County Circuit Clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Missouri court, clerk’s office, or government service. Its role is limited:
- It cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file.
- It cannot set, cancel, move, or verify a court appearance.
- It cannot amend, remove, or seal a court case.
- It cannot issue a certified docket, order, or court document.
- It cannot provide legal advice about a particular matter.
- It cannot guarantee that an office contact, fee, or setting has not changed.
Only the Bates County Circuit Clerk or the court holding the matter can issue an official or certified court record. A public docket view is not a substitute for that source.
Search Partners
Some content pages carry a search box operated by an outside provider. That provider controls its service, results, pricing, and data practices. A referral fee may be earned when a visitor uses a paid service. The widget is separate from Missouri Case.net and does not replace an official court or clerk search.
